Magners Irish Cider’s popular new Dark Fruit flavour is now available UK wide in glass bottles – the trademark of the well-established cider brand.
The 500ml glass bottle features the standout vibrant purple label associated with the Dark Fruit flavour and is available in both the on and off-trade markets.
Magners Dark Fruit in glass is available in over 300 Asda stores across the UK and is also available via wholesalers. In the on-trade the new glass bottles will be distributed by Tennent Caledonian Breweries in Scotland, and by AB InBev in England and Wales.
The introduction of Magners Dark Fruit in glass follows the successful nationwide release of Magners Dark Fruit in can which became available in Asda stores at the start of the year. Magners Dark Fruit is also available in can and on draught for the on-trade, where the product was first launched in summer 2017.
Offering a taste of jammy berries and sharp blackcurrants at 4% ABV, Dark Fruit makes for a refreshing beverage all year-round. This will be the latest addition to the Magners premium glass bottle range, which includes original apple, pear and orchard berries.
Janette Murray, Group Marketing Manager – Irish Cider at C&C said: “After the fantastic reception to Magners Dark Fruit through the UK in the on and off trade, it made perfect sense to add the product to our bottle collection. The over-ice serve from a glass bottle is iconic for Magners and certainly translates well to our Dark Fruit variant, with a great tasting refreshing drink the end result.
“We’re confident in our decision to also package Dark Fruit in glass and believe drinkers will enjoy the serve, whether at home or in bar. The response has been really positive with almost 400 cases sold in Scotland in the first week which really proves the consumer demand is there.”
