Cambozola is launching a new 150g pack into 501 Tesco Express stores from 26 October, marking the premium speciality cheese brand’s first listing with the retailer’s convenience store network. Tom Walker & Sons said the launch is aimed at giving retailers a premium speciality cheese option in a compact format that makes efficient use of limited chilled shelf space.
Supplied in shelf-ready cases of six, the smaller pack offers an accessible portion size for shoppers and can be stored in a recyclable box. The launch will be supported by branded shelf barkers in participating stores.
The listing comes as blue continental cheese continues to gain ground within the speciality cheese category. Worldpanel data for the 52 weeks ending 14 June 2026 shows the segment’s share of the category increased from 8.3% to 9%.
Produced in the Allgäu region of southern Germany, Cambozola combines the creamy texture of brie with the distinctive flavour of blue cheese. The cheese can be served on cheeseboards, incorporated into recipes or enjoyed on its own.
Dominique Delacour, Head of UK Marketing Strategy at Tom Walker & Sons, said: “The Tesco Express listing is an important step for Cambozola because it brings the brand’s 150g format to shoppers through the UK’s largest grocery retailer.
“The pack is a practical solution for retailers looking to offer premium speciality cheese in a smaller, more accessible format, while making the best use of limited shelf space. For consumers, it offers a convenient portion that is easy to keep in the fridge and versatile enough for everything from everyday meals to a cheeseboard.”
The 150g format is already available through Booths and selected independent stores. Other Cambozola pack sizes are stocked by major UK retailers including M&S, Tesco, Waitrose, Ocado, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Co-op.
Cambozola 150g will be available in 501 participating Tesco Express stores nationwide from 26 October with an RRP of £3.35.
