Go further with Novastell’s next generation specialist phospholipids at Vitafoods Europe

With more than 15 years of expertise in the functional ingredients market, Novastell is excited to introduce three new products at this year’s Vitafoods Europe. The event will the hosted in-person from 5th – 7th October in Geneva, Switzerland, but visitors can also visit online from 4th to 8th October by logging in at www.vitafoods.eu.com.

Novastell offers a wide range of lecithin, phospholipids, and other natural essential ingredients from various origins, including vegetal, egg, and marine sources. As an essential component of living cells, phospholipids exert their nutritional benefits in brain performance, stress management, liver protection, pregnancy, and healthy ageing.

“We offer an incredibly diverse range of products, which include nutritional and functional bioactive ingredients, specialty oils, vegetal and biotech actives, natural vitamin E and mixed tocopherols,” explains Carla Felgueiras, global product manager, ingredients at Novastell. “These products are ideal for use in the health and wellness market during the formulation of products that target pregnancy and women’s health, memory and concentration, digestive health, stress management and healthy ageing, to name a few.

“As a subsidiary of the Avril Group, the first and exclusive lecithin producer in France, we offer a comprehensive range of solutions, with several grades, specifications and complete traceability in sunflower, rapeseed, and soy lecithin. This provides our customers not only with the finest solutions for their processes, but also complete peace of mind.”

This year, the product line up at Vitafoods Europe will include the following new and existing products:

Cholinactive®

Cholinactive® is the branded range of phosphatidylcholine fractions from Novastell, with both soybean and sunflower origins available in powder, solid and liquids at different concentrations. Phosphatidylcholine is a bound form of choline, which represents more than 50% of our daily food supply in choline. This acts as a necessary complement to free choline which is stored in the liver. Phosphatidylcholine is also a protected form of choline, avoiding degradation in the gut and the presence of the harmful compound TMAO in the blood. As an almost pure form of choline, available at extremely high concentrations, there is an enormous amount of nutritional evidence to back up its efficacy.

Lecimarine®

Lecimarine® is a range of ingredients made from immature herring roe used as a by-product of commercial herring fishing, providing essential omega 3 fatty acid DHA and EPA. Extracted from specific raw materials from the preserved waters in Norway, Lecimarine® products supply omega-3 fatty acids in the form of phospholipids – known for its ability to reach the brain efficiently. Lecimarine® is the only natural source that is three times more concentrated in DHA than EPA and an excellent alternative to krill oil.

Neuroserine®

Neuroserine® is Novastell’s branded phosphatidylserine. Also known as the “brain phospholipid,” phosphatidylserine is an essential nootropic, improving brain performance and protecting nerve cells from stress. The most recent scientific evidence indicate that phosphatidylserine enhances the functioning of neuromodulators and receptors. Phosphatidylserine has been strongly associated with slowing, halting, and reversing the progression of age-related cognitive decline, and has also been shown to enhance mood, motivation, and quality of life at all stages.

“Novastell’s product range is ideally placed for inclusion in the development of new, or reformulated, nutritional and health products in the food, beverage, and health food supplements market.

“Visitors to our stand, which is located at J159 will get a first-hand glimpse at our new and existing product line-up. Take this opportunity to meet our team of experts for a detailed introduction to Novastell’s range of products. We would love to connect with you to discuss the latest trends, research, and development and to reconnect with the global nutritional health community,” Felgueiras concludes.
