It might be the height of summer but innovative Cornish confectioner Buttermilk has already announced its range of Christmas products for 2016.
The Bodmin-based company is adding two brand new festive flavours to its award-winning Christmas confectionery range. Mince Pie Crumbly Fudge and Cranberry and Orange Smooth Fudge join the award-winning Irish Cream Crumbly Fudge on sale in newly designed Christmas-themed sharing boxes.
The artisan confectioner is also launching a Christmas gift box: an 18-piece selection of traditional festive fudge flavours including brandy butter, chocolate orange, and ginger.
Tracy McGoad, Managing Director, said: “The beautiful new sharing boxes are the perfect addition to a Christmas hamper and make great looking stocking fillers.
“The two new fudge flavours are inspired by classic tastes of Christmas, each crammed with our favourite winter spices and fruits. The Irish Cream Crumbly Fudge is back by popular demand, having previously won gold Great Taste and bronze Taste of the West awards.”
All three products come in 100g boxes with an RRP of £2.50 each. The 250g Christmas gift box is priced at an RRP of £9.99. The products will be available at Buttermilk’s Padstow and Port Isaac shops from mid-October and online at www.buttermilk.co.uk. They will also be stocked in farms and deli’s nationwide, Booths, Whole Foods Market, and in many hampers.
Buttermilk, established in Padstow in 1964, is a family-run business now owned by Tracy McGoad and husband David Goad. Its extensive range of treats are lovingly handmade in-house by a team of craft confectioners.
Using locally-sourced ingredients where possible, Buttermilk produces over 60 confectionery products including smooth and crumbly fudge, tablet, brittle, chocolate clusters and honeycomb. They underwent a rebrand in autumn 2015, redesigning their packaging and launching a new e-commerce website.
Buttermilk products are available to buy across the UK, including Buttermilk’s two shops in Cornwall and via its website: www.buttermilk.co.uk. A select range of gluten-free products are now also available at selected Whole Foods Market and Sainsbury’s stores.
