With the London Coffee Festival having opened its doors yesterday (7 April) to discerning coffee lovers and industry professionals, Lavazza – the producer of authentic Italian coffee – debuts its new range of ¡Tierra! Origins developed specifically for hotels, restaurants and bars. These four origin blends from Tanzania and Brazil have been carefully blended to offer the unique taste experience from the country of origin in each and every cup.
The Origins are the latest additions to the Rainforest Alliance-certified ¡Tierra! project, which aims to develop products which continue to improve the social and environmental conditions in coffee- growing communities. The new range reaffirms Lavazza’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and acknowledging the work of everyone involved in the supply chain.

Origins range has been designed to meet the requirements of the contemporary market,” comments Barry Kither, Away From Home Sales and Marketing Director at Lavazza UK. “While quality, taste and provenance are imperative, today’s consumers are socially responsible and ethically minded. These new blends give hoteliers, bars and restaurants more ethical options for their customers”.
The four ¡Tierra! Origins blends available are:

¡Tierra! Origins Espresso, Brazil, 100% Arabica
A quality blend of two Arabica beans: Lambarì and Cereja Apasita. Perfect for consumers in search of a velvety, sweet serve. An espresso with aromas of honey, biscuit and milk chocolate, an intense body, mellow texture and sweet hints of caramel and hazelnut. (Available in 1kg beans)
¡Tierra! Origins Espresso, Brazil, 70% Arabica 30% Robusta blend
An intense espresso with the perfect balance of sweetness, dark cocoa and hazelnut notes in a smooth, velvety cup of coffee. This premium blend of Brazilian Arabica and the fine washed Robusta bean, Conillon, results in authentic Italian coffee at its finest. (Available in 1kg beans)
¡Tierra! Origins Filter, Brazil, 100% Arabica
A blend of carefully-selected coffee beans from the Lambarì area; this is the perfect in-cup balance of an intense aromatic bouquet and a soft, velvety texture. Consumers will enjoy typical notes of Brazilian coffee: cereals and honey with a finish of chocolate. (Available in 1kg beans, 1kg ground and 226.8g ground and 64g ground)
¡Tierra! Origins Filter, Tanzania, 100% Arabica
An unexpected mixture of sweetness and freshness, made using the finest Tanzanian Arabica beans from the country’s top plantations. It makes an elegant cup of coffee with a balanced body, delicate notes of ripe fruit and flowers, and a sweet, fruity aroma. (Available in 1kg beans, 1kg ground and 226.8g ground and 64g ground)
The ¡Tierra! Origins range is available to taste at the Lavazza stand (CF12) in the Hyde Park Zone of London Coffee Festival on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 April.
