For more than 40 years, Sparc Systems has supplied checkweighers, X-ray, label inspection, bespoke weighing systems and industry-leading products and services to the high-risk food industry. This year it makes its bow at Interpack, Europe’s leading packaging industry trade fair.
Showcasing the Theia with vision inspection, Cerberus with vision inspection and the Iris pipeline system, the company invites visitors to stand B44 in hall 17 to witness some of the industry’s most compact, integrated systems. The Theia 420 provides flexibility and accuracy and accommodates all product formats in sizes up to 300mm x 300mm x 100mm.
Fast and accurate rejection of out-of-tolerance or contaminated packs into dedicated lockable stations is provided by an in-line, servo driven reject system which removes the need for compressed air, offering potential savings of up to £4,000 a year on running costs compared with compressed air operated machines.
The Cerberus is a highly accurate, fully integrated, combination metal detection packaging inspection and checkweighing system specifically designed for High Care food production environments and operates at 200 packs per minute.
It is employed to check for potential metal contaminants, inspect the label and verify the weight of each product.
The Average Finished Weight Variance is also calculated and the system can provide feedback upstream signalling it to increase or decrease the fill quantity.
The Iris Pipeline X-ray Inspection System promotes systematic product flow and delivers optimal detection of contaminants, while reducing the amount of product rejected.
The Iris addresses the unique requirements posed by products flowing through a pipe, in addition to complying with stringent HACCP protocols and food safety requirements.
The Pipeline X-ray system inspects pumped product and rejects contaminants prior to packaging or processing – leading to fewer wasted packaging materials and greatly reduces product loss caused by the removal of contaminants after packaging.
By removing contaminants earlier in the process, the potential for expensive downtime and damage to downstream equipment is reduced.
The Iris product range is designed to quickly and simply integrate into your existing rigid or flexible pipe system. Robust quick release fittings allow for disassembly, cleaning and reassembly in a matter of seconds.
