Drees & Sommer strengthens its European market presence by acquiring Procore

Following the transformation of its legal form into an SE (Societas Europaea), Drees & Sommer is determinedly pushing ahead with its internationalisation strategy. On 18 May 2017 the Group will have a new wholly-owned shareholding on board in the form of Procore. The local market supplier, with a total workforce of 40 employees based in London and Amsterdam, is active in the fields of facility management, workplace consulting and tenant management. After a transitional phase it will be fully integrated into the Drees & Sommer Group.

With this move, Drees & Sommer is responding to the more rigorous market standards worldwide and with its two new bases in London and Amsterdam is accordingly further expanding its European market presence and its range of services. ‘It is mainly global corporates who are increasingly relying on service providers with a strong global network and extensive international experience. With this acquisition and the increased expertise, especially in the field of workplace consulting, we are strengthening our leading position in the field of property consulting throughout Europe,’ explains Steffen Szeidl, ‎Member of the Executive Board of Drees & Sommer.

‘Thanks to the cooperation there are opportunities for new business. With Drees & Sommer and its network of 41 locations worldwide, we can serve existing clients – including global corporate groups – on a more international level, acquire new client groups and successfully tackle more extensive projects with a larger range of services,’ says Procore founder Michel de Haan.
