That Boutique-y Gin Company – the world’s first independent gin bottler and sister company to the multi-award-winning That Boutique-y Whisky Company – releases exciting small batches of new and experimental gins from top producers such as Hernö, Ableforth’s, FEW Spirits and East London Liquor Company.
That Boutique-y Gin Company brings gin fans and enthusiasts fantastic new spirits from their favourite distilleries. Their first 11 releases are available from retailers including Amazon and Master of Malt.
Working with some of the world’s most exciting brands, from famous and well-established distillers to talented up-and-comers, That Boutique-y Gin Company releases limited-edition, individually numbered batches of gin. That may take the form of fascinating tweaks to a distillery’s regular recipe, secret unreleased ‘pet projects’, off-the-wall experiments, or entirely new concepts developed from scratch with That Boutique-y Gin Company.
In the words of That Boutique-y Gin Company’s Ben Ellefsen: “We kept hearing the same story from many of our favourite distillers about partly or even fully developed liquids they hadn’t been able to release. As consumers, these gins not being available to enjoy made us sad – so we set out to fix it.”
That Boutique-y Gin Company follows in the footsteps of its hugely successful sister company, That Boutique-y Whisky Company, which has won dozens of awards from the likes of the prestigious World Whiskies Awards, IWSC, ISC and Scotch Whisky Masters since launching in 2012. They were recently named Islands Independent Bottler of the Year at Whisky Magazine’s Independent Bottler’s Challenge 2016 and received an impressive eight coveted Liquid Gold Awards in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2017, including Scotch Single Malt of the Year (Single Cask). Aside from bottling truly outstanding spirits, they also created the World’s Best Blended Whisky (World Whiskies Awards 2015) and have won awards for their unique graphic-novel-style labels.
That Boutique-y Gin Company’s bottles will feature similarly fun and informative hand-illustrated labels, this time created by the talented Grace J Ward. Expect nods to the particular gin or distillery in question, gin industry (gindustry) ‘in jokes’ and well-known faces such as That Boutique-y Gin Company’s own David T Smith. Like their sister company they will also occasionally release their own creations, starting with a Cherry Gin – the first of its kind commercially available.
