Carabao Energy Drink is heading into spring with an exciting new addition to its range, with the launch of Carabao Green Apple Sugar Free – the latest sugar free innovation from the UK’s newest energy drink.
Available for consumers from late April 2017 – the latest product offering from Carabao marks the re-formulation of the brand’s wider range, which is now only available in low sugar or sugar free product formats.
This is the latest addition to Carabao’s range, which now also includes reduced sugar Original and Green Apple, as well as sugar free versions of the same variants. The reformulation comes off the back of research by Kantar Worldpanel*, which notes an eight per cent increase in the value of the stimulated energy drink market as a result of low-sugar and flavour innovations.
These ongoing product developments together with Carabao’s continued international expansions mark a busy year ahead. The Thai energy drink, which takes its inspiration from the physical strength and spiritual determination of the Carabao water-buffalo, is already very visible as principal sponsor of both Chelsea FC and Reading FC, and its fame will grow even more widely and nationally as it embarks on a marquee sponsorship of the Football League Cup, which will be called the Carabao Cup, over the next three seasons.
Throughout the year, Carabao will also activate a national outdoor poster campaign, a press and radio advertising campaign, sampling up and down the country and a series of in-store promotions and activations, offering unparalleled access to the Carabao Cup when the sponsorship kicks off in August.
Peter Gutierrez, CEO of Intercarabao, comments: “Carabao has a hugely exciting year in prospect. Alongside our heavyweight sport sponsorships and continued international expansion, is the significant re-formulation of our energy drinks range, which is designed to cater to the increasingly healthier lifestyles of our consumer.
“In addition to Green Apple Sugar Free, we have a number of great tasting low and no-calorie drink innovations in the pipeline for 2017. We believe these will be game-changers for the industry and help bring new consumers into the category.”
