NOMO, the number one free-from chocolate brand in the UK, has bagged itself a Great Taste award for its gooey caramel bar that launched last year. The annual awards took place on 24th September and since 1994 more than 130,000 products have been put through the robust judging process. Each one is fastidiously blind-tasted by judges, including chefs, buyers and fine food retailers. The NOMO caramel bar was awarded one-star at Great Taste, which represents a ‘simply delicious’ product delivering fantastic flavour.
Judges stated that the NOMO vegan and free-from caramel bar had an ‘attractive appearance’ with a filling that was ‘well-balanced and caramelly’ whilst not having an ‘overbearing sweetness’. They noted that this was a ‘balanced and very pleasant product in this specialist market.’
