Birmingham-based Purity Soft Drinks is launching new JUICEBURST™ Watermelon and Raspberry into its schools-approved range this month.
Following extensive market research and social media analysis, which saw the new flavour consistently outperform other choices, Purity is delighted to debut JUICEBURST™ Watermelon and Raspberry as the first-ever watermelon drink available to the school catering market.
Carly Pacheco, Purity’s Senior Brand Manager, comments: “This is a really exciting time for JUICEBURST™, and for our schools’ range. We know consumers want new and exciting flavours that taste amazing, and we have had great success with our new flavour innovation. After launching two new flavours into our schools’ range in 2017 we saw triple digit growth YOY.
“The flavour has been chosen by students, both within schools and across our social media channels. It is bang on trend, with Watermelon flavoured drinks currently performing at +78% (IRI 52 week ending to 16.06.19).
“The flavour has mass appeal to school-age consumers as our product testing saw top box purchase intent within the 11-16 age group at 68%.”
In-keeping with the rest of the 330ml range, JUICEBURST™ Watermelon and Raspberry will contain one of the recommended five portions of fruit and veg per day and will comprise 45% fruit juice with no added sugar and no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. Bottles are made from 25% rPET and are 100% recyclable – which will be called out on the front of pack for the first time ever with this new SKU.
Complying with government regulation and being sugar tax exempt, JUICEBURST™ is a refreshingly no-nonsense drink that is the number one bestselling still drink in schools.
