Cornwall-based Sharp’s Brewery has today (Monday 6 November) announced the release of Doom Bar Reserve (6.0%), the final addition to the brewer’s limited release series of the year. Inspired by Sharps’ flagship product, the UK’s number one cask ale Doom Bar, the new beer will be available to on-trade customers across the UK from today until 31 December 2017.
Doom Bar Reserve is brewed with a higher alcohol level of six per cent, ideal for colder nights in the countdown to Christmas. The amber ale has been brewed with the finest malts and hops which provide a spicy aroma with malty sweetness.
As with all Sharps’ limited releases, 5p from every pint of Doom Bar sold will be donated to the Blue Flag initiative. This charity helps to keep beaches in Cornwall and across the country clean and safe for all to enjoy. In the last two years, Sharp’s Brewery have donated over £28,000 to the charity from sales of its limited release range of beers.

“This limited-edition brew is the final beer in the range for 2017, and rounds off another successful year of support for the Blue Flag initiative, a charity that is very close to our hearts here at Sharp’s Brewery.”

The launch of Doom Bar Reserve is Sharp’s fifth limited release of the year, following Fathom’s Deep (4.5%), Dawn Patrol (4.0%), Rye Rock (3.8%), and Two Tides (4.6%).
