SPAR has announced that its Silverbrook Falls Water bottle is now made of up to 51% recycled plastic – an innovation that shows the symbol group’s dedication to being an environmentally responsible retailer.
A first for the convenience market, SPAR’s eight-strong still and sparkling water range has been revamped with a new label design to provide a fresh and contemporary look, whilst also communicating the recycled plastic content in a bid to tackle single-use plastics.
Cath McIlwham, SPAR UK Head of SPAR Brand, said: “As ethical and environmental concerns are growing, using recycled material not only reassures our customers but also demonstrates how committed we are to being an environmentally responsible retailer.
“We will save almost 130 tonnes of plastic every year with the changes we’ve made to the packaging. We are confident this initiative will be a huge success for our retailers,” she added.
SPAR’s Silverbrook Water range continues to be in growth. This relaunch will drive sales further and will show SPARs ongoing commitment to protecting the environment.
