Isle of Bute Gin showcases the beauty of life on the Scottish Isles

Isle of Bute Gin, inspired by the idyllic distillery surroundings, has launched a unique selection of hand-crafted small batch gins, each carefully curated using ingredients sourced locally from the island. Each gin captures the essence of the Isle of Bute; the selection includes the Island GinGorse GinHeather GinOaked Gin and to top it off, the world’s first Oyster Gin.

Crafted with care in the heart of Rothesay, Isle of Bute Gin brings together an eclectic mix of botanicals to create lasting gin flavours to thrill gin drinkers and showcase the beauty of land and sea.

Head Distiller, Simon Tardivel, is well acquainted with the island and when not perched by his still he can be found foraging for gorse and heather flowers, all of which is hand-picked from the grounds of Mount Stuart and surrounding terrain. Having joined Isle of Bute Gin with a background working for some of the largest drink’s producers in the world, Simon is ideally placed to contribute cutting edge ideas whilst leading the production of time-tested craft methods.

Co-founder, Rhona Madigan-Wheatley, remarks that: “We’re incredibly proud of the gin that we produce. It’s authentic, has a wonderful taste profile and we think it represents the very best of Scottish craft produce.

“I’d urge all gin appreciators to try the range, perfect for a tasting experience on a cold winters night. You’ll find suggestions for the perfect accompaniments and garnishes for each release on our website.

“Additionally, if you’re in the west coast of Scotland or holidaying here, our team will always be delighted to give you a warm island welcome at our Gin garden on Bute.  Whether it’s a nosey around the distillery, a relaxed drink or a full tasting experience, all (above drinking age!) are most welcome.”
