Single Malt Scotch whisky brand, anCnoc, is proud to announce two gold medals for its 12-year-old core expression, which have been awarded at some of the industry’s most respected and influential spirits competitions.
The brand’s flagship expression won a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017, significant given this year saw a record-breaking 2,100 spirits from around the globe judged by a panel of carefully selected spirits-industry experts – the most in its 17-year history.
anCnoc 12-year-old also won gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2017, which is judged on a producer’s commitment to quality and innovation through spirit.
anCnoc’s 12-year-old is renowned the world over as a must-have in any whisky drinkers’ collection. Soft and aromatic on the nose, it has hints of anCnoc’s signature flavour notes of honey and lemon, resulting in a long smooth finish. The gentle amber colouring comes from its maturation in American oak ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso casks, which deliver a fantastic flavour profile with a surprise at each turn.
Stephanie Allison, Brand Manager for anCnoc, says: “We’re thrilled that our 12-year-old continues to be so highly commended in the industry. With thousands of fantastic entries, it’s no mean feat either. At anCnoc, we’re dedicated to producing the finest quality liquid so receiving this recognition for all our hard work feels fantastic.”
Other accolades for the brand at the International Spirits Challenge 2017 include silver medals for anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 18-year-old and silver for anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 24-year-old.
