Coffee Shops v Pubs

The good old British pub has long been a popular sight in the towns and cities across the country, but consumers’ growing appreciation of a good cup of coffee, and the willingness to pay more than the cost of a pint for it, has meant that pubs are seeing increasing competition from the growing number of coffee shops.

In the last five years, the number of coffee shops across the UK has grown by 31%. Recent statistics have shown that in some cities coffee shops are almost as popular as pubs.

Commercial coffee machines supplier Honest Coffees, have created this infographic to show just how popular coffee shops are in some of the UK’s biggest cities.
