Over the years Chesil Smokery has built up a strong customer base not only locally but also further afield as it conducts a fair amount of its business overseas including being a regular supplier of cold-smoked salmon to British Airways and other international airlines.
The experience the company has gained, coupled with the investment and attention it has given to its customer-base, has really boosted the business and allowed it to turn out quality products consistently over the years. “We’ve got an excellent Head Smoker that works really well with the other members of staff and as a result our quality control is first class. The award wins and a SALSA accreditation have helped raise awareness of our high standards even further.”
With the numerous award wins under its belt, Chesil Smokery is looking to maintain the momentum it has built up and stay on the upward curve it is currently on. “We are busy all year round, there is no quiet period,” concludes Gemma. “Our main aim now is to keep growing the business and maintain the product consistency that saw us win a total 10 Great Taste Awards.”
