A Clean Start: P&G Professional partners with National Fish & Chip Shop of the Year for post-Covid industry revival campaign

P&G Professional, the away-from-home division of Procter and Gamble, is delighted to announce its partnership with reigning National Fish and Chip Award “Fish & Chip Shop of the Year” champions, John and Helen Molnar of The Cod’s Scallops in Nottingham.

This inaugural partnership marks a continuation of P&G Professional’s dedication to the Fish & Chip industry, following unprecedented events in the first half of the year.

Together, P&G Professional and The Cod’s Scallops will be working to address some of the biggest challenges facing the industry today; from the unparalleled importance of hygiene and cleanliness, to the heightened concerns surrounding staff and customer safety. 

As trusted experts and spokespeople for this topic, John and Helen Molnar will be working with the brand to launch the CleanPlus Experience initiative, which includes a series of training materials and advice, as well as digital and printed materials that help a business showcase their cleaning standards to guests. The partnership will commence this month, as hospitality businesses are set to slowly reopen across the UK.

Speaking of the partnership, John and Helen said: “Now more than ever, fish & chip shop owners must recognise the importance of hygiene and everyday-preparedness for infection control. As the industry begins to reopen, we must all take the practical steps to instill customer confidence, it’s critical to have the right tools, training, and cleaning products at your staff’s fingertips We are delighted to be partnering with P&G Professional to share our expertise in this area and use their trusted brands like Fairy Professional and Flash Professional to clean and disinfect our restaurant.” 

Over the next 12 months, P&G Professional will also continue its partnership with leading Fish & Chip industry body, the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF). This collaboration remains critical for allowing P&G Professional to stay close to the needs of our nation’s fish fryers, while providing training, insights and even product to help ensure shops are properly cleaned and disinfected throughout the UK.
